Things I Don't Do!

Strategy through subtraction.

In a world obsessed with 'more', my most valuable asset is my ability to say no. Here is the list of things I actively avoid to maintain my focus and integrity.

The Signal

Self-control > Ambition

"Ambition tells you what you want to achieve. Self-control tells you who you refuse to become in the process."

Anti-goals

Things I actively avoid, even if they might seem 'productive' or 'normal'.

Networking without purpose

I don't do 'coffee chats' without a clear agenda or mutual value.

Being 'indispensable'

I don't build systems that require my constant presence. I build systems that can run without me.

Micro-optimizing before the foundation

I refuse to spend time on micro-optimizations if the underlying logic is flawed.

Excluded Systems

Cultural and technical systems I choose to stay outside of.

Algorithmic Distraction

I don't use social media designed to maximize 'engagement' at the cost of focus.

Urgency Culture

I don't react to 'urgent' tasks that are merely the result of poor planning by others.

The Status Game

I don't invest time in building superficial prestige. I invest in actual competence.
